Meet the traveler behind All about Mauritius!Hi! My name is Billieann and I live in Australia. Who am I to be making a website all about Mauritius? I’m a lucky woman, I married a great guy who happens to have two children already. My step-children are Mauritian and ever since my first visit to the island, I am in love with it! The beaches, the ocean, the mountains, the weather, the people…..I am very passionate about sharing all of these with the world and I hope that you will find an excess of useful information on my site. I love the little snack bars on the beach….I love strolling through the markets….I love snorkeling in the shallow waters of Flic en Flac marveling at the little colorful fish being so close to the shore!
We have stayed in five star resorts and we have stayed in self catering villas. We have driven hire cars and we have caught the local buses. We have visited the tourist attractions and we have found the little out of the way quite places. I am not a travel agent and this is not a travel agency website, it is simply the experiences of one family. My passion for Mauritius has led to me not only starting to produce a website that I hope is useful to travelers around the world but has allowed me to (almost) quit my day job. I'm not kidding, I found out that it's possible to make good money doing something that I love....in my spare time.
